Dear Trabuco Mesa Families,

As you may have heard through the district email and/or from other families, our wonderful principal, Dr. Bruce, and her family experienced a house fire on May 9th. We are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe, however the damage was extensive, and Dr. Bruce will need time with her family to navigate the difficult days ahead.

As a result, Dr. Bruce will be taking a temporary leave from Trabuco Mesa. During her absence, Jennifer Kadjasz will serve as interim principal and support the Trabuco Mesa school community. We are fortunate that she is already familiar with our school, having supported Trabuco Mesa in the past, and we are grateful to welcome her back during this time.

On behalf of the PTA, we also want to thank our staff, families, and community members for the kindness, support, and compassion already shown to Dr. Bruce and her family during this challenging time.

Many members of our school community have asked how they can help support the Bruce family. We are grateful to a family friend who organized a GoFundMe, as well as to our own Trabuco Mesa staff member, Mrs. Craven, who has offered to help collect donations through Venmo.
